Therapy Fees and Policies

Therapy is an investment in yourself- your well-being, your relationships, and the way you move through your life.

If you’d like to learn more about what therapy can look like, you can visit the FAQ page. If you are a clinician seeking clinical supervision in Nevada, you can learn more on the supervision info page.

A free 15-minute consultation is available and can be a helpful way to determine if we may be a good fit to work together.

I accept credit cards and HSA cards. I do not accept insurance; you can learn more about that here.

First Session

Ongoing Sessions

I’ll ask you questions to learn more about you, your concerns, life history, offering my initial observations, and providing you a preliminary treatment plan on what could help.

We’ll schedule follow up sessions if I can help you. If not, I’ll offer you referrals to other therapists who are a better fit for what you’re seeking and need.

You can learn more about what to expect in therapy from the FAQ page.

On average, clients seeking general mental health treatment see me for 3-4 months weekly or every 2 weeks and then taper off to once a month or end treatment.

On average, clients seeking trauma treatment see me for 9-12 months weekly or every 2 weeks and then taper off to once a month or end treatment.

EMDR therapy can be helpful for trauma, anxiety, depression and other symptoms. If you would like to discuss, please contact me.

Group Sessions

Group therapy is offered as a more cost-effective option for support and growth.

I offer a women’s group that integrates movement, nervous system regulation, and guided reflection, creating space for both practical tools and deeper self-awareness.

Many clients find the shared experience of being with others navigating similar patterns to be an important part of the work.

I operate as a private pay practice and do not accept insurance. This is an intentional choice that allows me to provide care that is more personalized, flexible, and aligned with your needs.

Care That Is Centered on You- not a System

Insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to cover therapy. This means that even if you’re seeking support for stress, life transitions, burnout, or personal growth, a diagnosis must be assigned and documented.

I don’t believe that everyone who seeks therapy should be labeled or pathologized.

By not working with insurance, I’m able to meet you where you are- whether that’s navigating anxiety, processing trauma, or engaging in deeper work like EMDR. If you’re interested in that approach, you can learn more on my EMDR page.

I do not accept insurances. Here are some reasons why:

When you use insurance, your mental health information becomes part of your medical record. Insurance companies may require details about your symptoms, treatment plans, and progress, and in some cases may request additional documentation.

Private pay allows for a higher level of confidentiality. What we discuss stays between us, without the need to share your personal information with a third party.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Insurance companies often place limits on:

  • The number of sessions you can have
  • The type of therapy that is covered
  • The length and frequency of sessions

My work integrates approaches like EMDR, nervous system regulation, and mindfulness-based practices, which don’t always fit neatly into insurance guidelines.

Working outside of insurance allows me to tailor our work together in a way that supports your goals—rather than following restrictions set by a policy.

Freedom in Treatment

Quality Over Quantity

Insurance-based models often require therapists to carry very high caseloads. I’ve chosen a different approach.

Private pay allows me to:

  • Maintain a more intentional caseload
  • Be fully present and prepared for each session
  • Offer deeper, more integrative work
  • A More Accessible Option: Group Therapy

If you’re looking for a more cost-effective way to receive support, group therapy can be a meaningful option.

Groups offer the opportunity to:

Learn practical tools for regulation and self-awareness
Connect with others who are navigating similar experiences
Feel supported in a shared, structured environment

Many clients find that group work is not only more affordable, but also deeply impactful in ways that individual therapy alone cannot provide.

Therapy is an investment—of time, energy, and resources. This model allows me to provide care that is thoughtful, individualized, and not limited by external constraints.

At this time, I do not provide superbills or out-of-network billing.

If you’re unsure whether this approach is a good fit, we can talk through your options and what would best support you.
