Our therapy group, specially crafted for women navigating the complexities of life, offers a unique blend of traditional mental health care and the profound wisdom of yoga philosophy. Our journey is firmly rooted in the understanding that the essence of self-discovery and well-being dwells intrinsically within every woman. This recognition unfolds through purposeful introspection and a profound connection to the inherent wisdom patiently awaiting revelation.
Yoga, beyond its physical postures, serves as a powerful tool in mental health by encouraging introspection and
self-awareness. Rooted in ancient practices, it provides a structured approach to asking oneself the crucial question:
This self-inquiry, central to yoga philosophy, becomes a guiding light for individuals who often find themselves absorbed in caring for others, caught in the hustle of work/ life stressors, and struggling to carve out time for their own well-being.
A Powerful Tool for Mental Health
A Powerful Tool foe.
Yoga is a scientific system of self-investigation, self-transformation, and self-realization that originated in
India over 5,000 years ago.
Yoga has been shown to help with:
- Bring our own yoga mat, or one will be provided for you.
- Dress in comfortable clothes that allow for movement.
- We will remove shoes for group, you can chose to come barefoot or with socks (I would recommend sticky socks if that is your preference).
- Prior to the start of the group, I will do a screening call to see if it seems like a good fit for both parties and I will require you to complete an intake questionnaire as well as consent and other legal paperwork.
** Please note that while our Women's Therapy Group provides valuable support and tools for personal growth and well-being, it is not a substitute for individual therapy. Individual therapy offers personalized attention and tailored interventions that address specific needs and concerns in a more focused manner. If you require individualized therapeutic support or are experiencing acute mental health issues, we encourage you to seek out the services of a qualified mental health professional. Our group complements but does not replace the benefits of individual therapy.
