EMDR Therapy in Henderson, NV

If you’re looking for EMDR therapy in Henderson, Nevada, you may be feeling stuck in patterns, reactions, or emotional experiences that insight and talk therapy alone haven’t fully resolved. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma-informed therapy approach that helps the brain and nervous system process distressing experiences so they no longer feel as emotionally overwhelming or activating.

At Ground + Bloom Therapy, EMDR is offered in a thoughtful and integrative way that emphasizes emotional safety, nervous system regulation, and individualized pacing. Depending on your needs, therapy may also incorporate somatic, mindfulness-based, and parts-informed approaches to support deeper healing and integration.

Services are available in person in Henderson and virtually across Nevada.

What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR therapy is an evidence-based approach that helps people process trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences without needing to relive or retell every detail. Rather than relying solely on prolonged talk therapy, EMDR uses bilateral stimulation to support the brain’s natural ability to process and integrate unresolved experiences and stress responses.

Many people seek EMDR when they feel emotionally stuck, reactive, overwhelmed, or impacted by experiences that continue to affect them long after the events have passed.

EMDR therapy may be helpful for individuals experiencing:

  • Trauma or PTSD
  • Anxiety or panic
  • Chronic stress or burnout
  • Attachment wounds
  • Performance anxiety
  • Emotionally overwhelming experiences
  • Persistent patterns that feel difficult to shift through insight alone

This approach can be especially supportive when distress feels rooted not only in thoughts, but also in the body and nervous system.

EMDR therapy may be helpful for individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, panic, chronic stress, or emotional overwhelm. It is commonly used for people navigating past traumatic experiences, attachment wounds, performance anxiety, or ongoing nervous system dysregulation.

This approach can be especially supportive when symptoms feel rooted in the body rather than just thoughts.

What EMDR Can Help With

EMDR sessions at Ground + Bloom Therapy are paced carefully and collaboratively, with attention to stabilization, emotional safety, and readiness before moving into deeper processing work.

You will not be rushed, pushed, or expected to share more than feels manageable. Therapy is individualized and may incorporate mindfulness, somatic awareness, grounding practices, breathwork, parts-informed exploration, and nervous system support alongside EMDR processing.

Some clients benefit from longer or more immersive therapy formats beyond traditional weekly sessions. Extended sessions and EMDR intensives offer additional space for deeper processing, continuity, and integration without the stop-and-start rhythm of weekly therapy.

Intensives may be helpful for clients wanting concentrated therapeutic support, deeper trauma processing, or more focused work around a particular issue or life transition.

My approach to intensives is individualized and thoughtfully paced. Depending on the client’s needs and goals, sessions may incorporate EMDR, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches, grounding and resourcing practices, breathwork, and restorative integration support throughout the process.

In-person EMDR therapy is available in Henderson, serving clients throughout the Las Vegas area. Telehealth EMDR sessions are also offered for individuals located anywhere in Nevada.

Whether in person or online, care is provided with the same attention to safety, presence, and individualized support.
